Ligna Verda: de groene strook

Our partnership with Ligna Verda

Driving towards greener ground

Get Driven is about time:

the time you get back because someone else is behind the wheel. Since 2025, those hours also go toward something that keeps growing.

Together with Ligna Verda, we’re restoring degraded land in the Senegalese Sahel, where drought and heat are putting the soil under pressure.

Local Communities

The idea is simple.

Every hour our drivers spend on the road is logged in our app, and those hours are turned into trees. This year, we’re aiming for 7,500.

The trees are sown by local communities, with support from Ligna Verda’s team on the ground. Ligna Verda follows how they grow, both in the field and by satellite. Independent experts visit the sites to check the work, and KU Leuven and the University of Antwerp validate the data.

We’re on the road every day, and that leaves a mark. We wanted to set something against it that goes further than a promise on paper. We chose Ligna Verda because the local communities own the project, and later they’re the ones who enjoy its fruits. So what grows there stays theirs.

The project is part of the Great Green Wall, an African initiative to stop the desert from spreading. We’ve committed to it for three years.

“We wanted a contribution we can actually follow up on and show. With Ligna Verda, we can.” - Arne Vandendriessche, CEO Get Driven.
